Carex comans bronze
Carex comans bronze is a low growing sedge with drooping spreading leaves. It grows up to 30-40cm high, with reddish brown foliage. The tips of the fine narrow leaves are often blonde. Flowering stems lie along the ground as they mature. It is found in damp pasture and tussockland throughout New Zealand except Fiordland. Tolerant of a range of conditions and very good for the front of a border or grouped as a groundcover.
