Carex comans green
Carex comans green is a low growing sedge with drooping spreading leaves. It grows up to 30-40cm high. The narrow leaves go from a lime green colour to blonde at the tips. Flowering stems lie along the ground as they mature. It is found in damp pasture and tussock land throughout New Zealand except in Fiordland. Tolerant to a range of conditions, it makes a great landscaping plant often used as a border planting or grouped as a groundcover.
